Both were rushed to a private hospital in critical condition, where the male youth, identified as 21-year-old Rajan, succumbed during treatment on Tuesday. The young woman, also from Meerut, remains in intensive care, fighting for her life.
According to police reports, Rajan, a resident of Baisuma village in Meerut, had arrived in Gurugram on May 20th and had been working at a private company, residing in rented accommodation in Moga Colony, Badshahpur. The young woman reportedly came to Badshahpur on Monday to meet him. It is suspected that the couple consumed the poisonous substance at Rajan’s rented room.
The alarming incident came to light when neighbors, noticing their deteriorating condition, promptly rushed them to a private hospital. Despite immediate medical attention, Rajan could not be saved. Upon receiving information, a police team arrived at the hospital, and the families of both individuals were informed and traveled from Meerut to Gurugram.
