Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed his shock and condolences, stating Ratan’s dedication and efficiency throughout his long career. Ratan, a 1991-batch IPS officer, held various prominent positions during his service. These included Superintendent of Police in Karimnagar, Director General of Fire Services, Inspector General for the Hyderabad Region, and Managing Director of the Police Housing Corporation.
One of his most recent assignments was leading a crucial investigation into alleged corruption surrounding the construction of the Medigadda barrage, part of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation scheme. Ratan’s colleagues and superiors lauded him for his commitment to upholding the law and serving the state with integrity.
Ratan’s sudden passing leaves a void in the Telangana police force. The memories of his distinguished service will undoubtedly remain with his colleagues and the public he so diligently protected.
