New Delhi, November 26, 2025: A recent live session featuring BTS members RM and Jimin was seen by the ARMY fan base and quickly became the source of widespread concern. A brief, light-hearted exchange between the two artists was taken out of context on social media, resulting in the rapid circulation of rumors suggesting the globally popular group was facing disbandment. Fans were left feeling worried, with sentiments like, “How will we endure the pain,” being frequently shared online. However, the true context of the video has since been clarified, putting an end to the unsettling speculation.
The live stream was spontaneously hosted by the duo on the Weverse platform following a practice session. The moment of misinterpretation occurred when the artists humorously pointed out the unusually low number of viewers—only one person was shown on the screen. It was at this point that a joke was made by RM.
“Let’s call it quits then. Time to disband?” was heard being said by the group’s leader, RM. This remark was immediately followed by Jimin’s surprised and playful query, “What do you mean, time to disband?” Both members then burst into laughter, and an explanation was offered by RM: “Because there’s no one to watch us now.” This entire playful interaction was clipped and shared widely, causing confusion and distress among those who only saw the translated snippet.

It has been established that the banter between RM and Jimin was simply a playful reference to the temporary poor network connection and the low viewer count displayed on their screen. The remarks were not meant to be a serious reflection of BTS’s future. Any suggestion of the group ending its run was entirely dismissed by the full context of the video.
In fact, the seven members—Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook—have all completed their mandatory South Korean military service. This significant milestone was reached recently, and a full-scale reunion is now being prepared for by the group. A new group album and their first full-group world tour since 2022 are also understood to be in the works. Their management company has previously issued statements clarifying that the septet is not disbanding and that their recent focus on solo work was a means of personal growth intended to ultimately strengthen the group’s foundation for a long-term future.
The group, which debuted in 2013 and has become known as the best-selling musical act in South Korean history, is expected to officially resume full group activities in 2025. Their commitment to their fans, known as the ARMY, has been continually reaffirmed, and a new era of their music and performances is eagerly awaited by the global community. The temporary break for military enlistment, which naturally led to individual focus, is now officially over. Therefore, any disbandment rumors can be confidently disregarded as a simple joke that was misunderstood.
