New Delhi, November 4, 2025: A wedding ceremony in the Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh was abruptly interrupted when a significant brawl erupted between guests from the bride’s and groom’s sides. The incident, which was captured on video, has been widely circulated on social media, showing a joyful occasion that was quickly transformed into a chaotic scene. The cause of the intense clash was reported to be a heated dispute over the serving of a popular dish: fried chicken.
The initial unrest was reportedly caused by dissatisfaction expressed by certain relatives of the groom regarding the portions of chicken fry being served. Allegations were made that insufficient quantities of the dish were being provided, leading to a tense atmosphere at the venue. To address these complaints, additional servings were reportedly given by the bride’s family.
However, rather than resolving the matter, the situation was further complicated when arguments were initiated over the manner in which the food was being served. It was claimed by the guests that proper etiquette was not being maintained during the serving process.

What began as a verbal dispute over food portions and serving style quickly escalated into a physical confrontation. The viral footage showed groups of guests engaging in a scuffle, with punches being thrown and people shoving each other amid the confusion. Several individuals were forced to intervene in an attempt to separate the fighting parties and restore order to the event. Due to the repeated clashes, which reportedly broke out as many as three times, the nikah (wedding ceremony) proceedings were repeatedly halted.
The chaos became so severe that local law enforcement was ultimately called to the marriage hall. Police teams were dispatched to the site following reports of a major disturbance and fighting among the wedding guests. Upon their arrival, the situation was brought under control and the warring factions were pacified. It was later reported that up to fifteen people were injured during the successive brawls, requiring some to be taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Despite the widespread chaos and injury reports, it was conveyed by police officials that no formal complaint had been registered by either the bride’s or the groom’s side. After the situation was stabilized, the remaining wedding rituals were peacefully completed under police supervision, allowing the marriage to be solemnized despite the earlier violence. The incident has since become a viral example of how minor disagreements can spiral into major conflicts at large social gatherings.
