Honda Accelerates into Electric Future with the All-New Activa e Scooter

Honda has officially unveiled its highly anticipated electric scooter, the Honda Activa e, in India, marking a significant stride in the company’s commitment to sustainable mobility. Designed to blend modern technology with the reliability of the Activa brand, this new electric offering boasts an impressive range, smart features, and a competitive price point, set to redefine urban commuting.

The Activa e promises a substantial range of 102 kilometers on a single charge, addressing a key concern for potential electric vehicle owners. It will be available in two distinct variants to cater to varying customer needs and preferences. The Standard variant is priced at an average ex-showroom price of ₹1,17,076, while the Honda RoadSync Duo variant, offering enhanced connectivity features, comes in at an average ex-showroom price of ₹1,52,463.

At the heart of its innovation, the Activa e features a vibrant 7-inch TFT display. This smart screen seamlessly connects with smartphones via the Honda RoadSync Duo app, enabling riders to access navigation, manage calls, and control various functions directly from the scooter’s display. The display also intelligently adapts to ambient light conditions with both day and night modes, ensuring optimal visibility at all times.

Further enhancing user convenience and security, the Activa e incorporates Honda’s H-Smart Key features. This advanced system includes capabilities such as smart find, smart safe, smart unlock, and smart start, providing a sophisticated and effortless user experience.

Powering the Activa e are two 1.5kWh swappable batteries, ingeniously named Honda Mobile Power Pack e:. This swappable battery system offers flexibility and convenience for charging, allowing riders to easily exchange depleted batteries for fully charged ones.

Performance-wise, the Activa e is designed for a dynamic riding experience, offering three distinct modes: Econ, Standard, and Sport. In Sport mode, the scooter can reach a top speed of 80 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in a swift 7.3 seconds, promising an agile and responsive ride.

For enhanced safety and comfort, the electric scooter is equipped with a combined braking system (CBS), featuring a front disc brake and a rear drum brake for effective stopping power. It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels and incorporates telescopic forks at the front and dual rear springs, ensuring a stable and comfortable journey even on varied terrains.

Excitement is building as bookings for the Honda Activa e are slated to commence on January 1, 2025, with deliveries anticipated to begin in February 2025. Initially, the scooter will be rolled out in key metropolitan areas including Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, with plans for a gradual expansion across the entire country.

The Honda Activa e will be available in a palette of five appealing colors: Pearl Shallow Blue, Pearl Mystery White, Pearl Serenity Blue, Matte Foggy Silver Metallic, and Pearl Igneous Black, allowing customers to choose a style that best suits their personality.
