Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Criteria)

The program is designed for motivated students from recognized institutions in India and abroad. The broad eligibility categories include:

  • Undergraduate Students: Those currently in their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of study.
  • Postgraduate Students: Those in their 1st year of a Master’s program.
  • Disciplines: Applications are open across Engineering, Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Interdisciplinary domains. Students can even apply for projects outside their core major if they possess the relevant skills.

Stipend and Financial Awards

  • Weekly Stipend: Most selected interns receive a stipend of ₹2,000 per week for the duration of the internship (up to 8 weeks, totaling ₹16,000). Note: Stipends for faculty-funded projects may vary.
  • Excellence Award: Outstanding performers are eligible for the Bhalodia-Khetan Summer Research Excellence Award, which carries a prestigious cash prize of ₹50,000.
  • Accommodation: Interns are typically provided with on-campus hostel housing. However, they are required to pay applicable hostel charges (approx. ₹210 per day) and mess fees.
