Candidates can now access their JEE Advanced 2025 results and the final answer keys by visiting the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. To download their scorecards, candidates will need to enter their roll number, date of birth, and registered mobile number. The final answer keys, which were prepared after reviewing objections raised against the provisional answer keys released on May 25, are crucial for candidates to verify their scores accurately.

Qualifying Marks and Cutoffs Witness a Significant Drop

IIT Kanpur has also released the category-wise qualifying marks for JEE Advanced 2025. This year, a notable trend is the significant drop in cutoff marks across all categories compared to JEE Advanced 2024. For inclusion in the Common Rank List (CRL), candidates are required to secure a minimum of 5.83% in each subject and an aggregate of 20.56% of the total marks. This translates to a minimum of 7 marks in each subject and an overall aggregate of 74 marks out of 360 for CRL.

Here’s a quick look at the qualifying percentages for various categories:

  • Common Rank List (CRL): 5.83% in each subject, 20.56% aggregate
  • OBC-NCL Rank List: 5.25% in each subject, 18.50% aggregate
  • GEN-EWS Rank List: 5.25% in each subject, 18.50% aggregate
  • SC/ST/PwD Rank Lists: 2.92% in each subject, 10.28% aggregate
  • Preparatory Course (PC) Rank List: 1.46% in each subject, 5.14% aggregate

This reduction in cutoffs is expected to broaden the pool of eligible candidates for admission into the IITs.

Next Steps: JoSAA Counselling Begins Soon

Qualified candidates will now be eligible to participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process for admissions to undergraduate programs at the IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). The registration and choice-filling for JoSAA counselling are scheduled to commence tomorrow, June 3, 2025. Candidates are advised to keep their documents ready and stay updated with the counselling schedule on the official JoSAA website.

The JEE Advanced 2025 examination was conducted on May 18, 2025, in a computer-based format, consisting of two papers. The performance in both papers combined determines a candidate’s All India Rank and their eligibility for admission.
