Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill specific eligibility requirements concerning educational qualification and age limit as on January 01, 2025.
🎓 Educational Qualification
- Applicants must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) from a recognized board.
- Punjabi must have been passed as one of the subjects (compulsory or elective) at the Matriculation level.
🎂 Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age (General Category): 37 years
Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories (SC/BC) of Punjab, Punjab Government/Central Government employees, and Persons with Disability (PwD) as per the Punjab Government rules, which can extend the upper age limit up to 47 years in certain cases.
Application Fee
The non-refundable application fee varies based on the candidate’s category:
- General/Freedom Fighters: ₹1000/-
- SC/BC/EWS: ₹250/-
- Ex-Servicemen & Dependents: ₹200/-
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD): ₹500/-

Selection Process and Pay Scale
The selection process for the PSSSB Group D posts will be primarily based on a Written Examination. Candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for a Document Verification round, where their original documents, certificates, and eligibility claims will be scrutinized. Final merit lists will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the written examination.
Selected candidates will be placed under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-1, with a pay scale ranging from ₹18,000 to ₹56,900 per month, along with other admissible allowances as per Punjab Government norms.
