Eligibility Criteria: Are You Qualified

To be eligible for the UP D.El.Ed course, candidates must meet both educational and age requirements as specified in the official notification:

Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream (Arts, Science, Commerce, etc.) from a recognized university.
• The minimum percentage required is 50% marks in Graduation for General and OBC categories.
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories usually receive a relaxation, requiring a minimum of 45% marks in Graduation.

Age Limit (as of July 1, 2025):

• Minimum Age: 18 years.
• Maximum Age: 35 years for General candidates. Age relaxation applies for candidates from reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST, PH) as per state government rules.

Simple Steps to Apply Online

The application process is entirely online and must be completed carefully in multiple stages on the official UP D.El.Ed portal.

2. Start Registration: Click on the ‘UP D.El.Ed 2025 Registration’ link. Fill in your personal details, mobile number, and email ID to generate a unique Registration Number.
3. Pay the Application Fee: Use your registration number and date of birth to log in and pay the required application fee online through Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking.
4. Complete the Form (Part 2): After successful fee payment, fill in your detailed educational qualifications (10th, 12th, and Graduation marks).

Selection and Merit List

Unlike entrance exams for many other courses, admission to UP D.El.Ed is based on a State Level Merit List. This merit list is prepared by calculating the aggregate percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in Class 10th, Class 12th, and Graduation.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for the Counselling Process, where they will choose their preferred institutes (Government or Private DIETs) based on their State Rank.
