December 8, 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the e-Summon Letters for the Personality Tests (Interviews) of the Civil Services Main Examination 2025. This is a crucial step for candidates who successfully cleared the written Mains exam and are now moving to the final selection stage for prestigious services like the IAS, IPS, and IFS.

The interviews are scheduled to commence on Monday, December 8, 2025, and will continue until Friday, December 19, 2025. This initial phase covers the first batch of qualified candidates, with the schedule for the remaining candidates to be announced later.

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in or upsconline.in.
  2. Locate the Link: Look for the link titled “UPSC Civil Services Main Exam 2025 E-Summon Letter” or navigate to the ‘Admit Card’ section.
  3. Enter Credentials: Log in using your required details, such as your Registration ID / Roll Number and Date of Birth.
  4. Download and Print: The e-Summon Letter will appear on the screen. Verify all the details carefully, then download the PDF and take a clear printout.

It is strongly advised to download and print the letter immediately to avoid any last-minute technical issues.

Important Instructions for Candidates

The e-Summon Letter will contain essential information like your interview date, reporting time, and the exact venue. Candidates must also keep the following in mind:

  • Documents Required: Along with the printed e-Summon Letter, candidates must carry all the original documents supporting their eligibility, educational qualifications, and category status (if applicable).
  • Travel Reimbursement: The UPSC will reimburse the travel expenses for attending the interview. The reimbursement is typically limited to the Second Class/Sleeper Class train fare (Mail/Express) upon submission of original tickets and the prescribed Travel Allowance (TA) form.
  • Dress Code: Candidates are expected to dress in formal attire, reflecting the professionalism required for a civil servant.
  • Prohibited Items: Electronic gadgets of any kind, including mobile phones and smartwatches, are strictly prohibited inside the interview premises.
