New Delhi, December 1, 2025: Ranveer Singh’s highly anticipated action-thriller, ‘Dhurandhar,’ is creating a massive stir even before its December 5th release. The film, directed by Aditya Dhar, has seen a powerful opening in its advance bookings, signaling a strong start at the box office.
Despite a quiet, gradual rollout of advance bookings across select PVR-INOX properties in major cities, the initial numbers are exceptional.
In terms of regional response, the National Capital Region (NCR), followed closely by Maharashtra and Gujarat, are leading the charge in collections, with several shows in Delhi and Madhya Pradesh already marked as ‘filling fast.’
One of the most talked-about aspects of the booking buzz is the cost of premium seating. The most expensive ticket for Dhurandhar has been listed at a staggering ₹2,020.
Dhurandhar is shaping up to be one of Bollywood’s biggest spectacles, featuring a star-studded ensemble cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun alongside Ranveer Singh.
Adding to the grand scale of the project is its ambitious runtime. At a lengthy 3 hours and 32 minutes, it is one of the longest Hindi films in recent memory. The movie is billed as an action-packed spy drama, reportedly based on true events, that focuses on a fearless Indian intelligence agent’s Black Ops mission in Pakistan’s crime-ridden Lyari region.
While the advance booking is surging, the film has also been in the news due to some legal scrutiny. Director Aditya Dhar, however, has issued a clarification stating that the film is not based on the life of Major Mohit Sharma, addressing earlier speculation. Furthermore, reports suggest the film is planned as a two-part series, adding to the anticipation of an expansive narrative.
With the advance booking window now fully open, all eyes are on Dhurandhar to see if it can translate this thunderous start into a record-breaking opening weekend.
