Former ‘Dangal’ Star Zaira Wasim Announces Marriage in Intimate ‘Nikaah’ Ceremony

Zaira Wasim, the former Bollywood actor who gained widespread acclaim for her roles in films like Dangal and Secret Superstar, has announced her marriage, sharing intimate photographs from her nikaah (Muslim wedding ceremony) on her social media. The announcement, shared on a Friday evening, marks a significant personal update from the actor, who famously stepped away from the film industry in 2019 to focus on her faith.

The 24-year-old former actress posted a couple of pictures on her official Instagram handle, simply captioned, “Qubool hai x3.”—the traditional declaration of acceptance in an Islamic marriage. The understated post was instantly met with a flood of well wishes and congratulatory messages from fans and followers.

In the photographs, Zaira offered a private glimpse into the ceremony while maintaining her characteristic reserve about her personal life. One image shows her, hands adorned with intricate mehendi and wearing a statement emerald ring, signing the nikaah nama (marriage contract). The second photograph is a tender moment, capturing the couple standing with their backs to the camera, gazing up at the night sky. In keeping with her privacy, the former actor did not reveal her husband’s face or name.
