Bollywood actress Kajol Devgan recently revealed in an interview that she closely resembles her character Anjali Sharma from her blockbuster film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ (K3G). Kajol disclosed that just as Anjali was dedicated to her family and children, she too actively participates in her children, Nysa and Yug’s, school events, happily applauding.

Kajol stated, “Even today, I’m one of those who ‘claps away’ at Nysa and Yug’s school functions. I remember standing there and clapping with enthusiasm. It’s exactly how Anjali would do it. I feel I am very similar to that character.”

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham,’ released in 2001, was a multi-starrer film directed by Karan Johar. In it, Kajol played Anjali Sharma, a lively and simple girl from Delhi who falls in love with Rahul Raichand (Shah Rukh Khan). Anjali’s character is known for her simplicity, emotions, and unwavering love for her family. She was always depicted as a mother who encouraged her children and participated in their every small and big joy.

Kajol’s remark comes as no surprise to her fans. Many of the roles she has played on screen often reflect glimpses of her real life. She frequently shares moments spent with her children and family on social media, making it clear how important her family is to her.

Her habit of actively participating in her children’s school events shows that despite her stardom, she wants to experience every significant moment of her children’s childhood. This also serves as an inspiration for today’s parents, highlighting how precious time spent with children is, despite busy lifestyles. Kajol’s statement once again proves that she is not only a brilliant actress but also a devoted.
