New Delhi, january 05, 2026: In a shocking turn of events, Jay Dudhane, the winner of MTV Splitsvilla 13 and runner-up of Bigg Boss Marathi 3, was arrested by the Thane Police at the Mumbai International Airport on Sunday, January 4, 2026. The popular actor and fitness trainer was reportedly intercepted by immigration authorities while attempting to board a flight for his honeymoon.
The arrest is linked to an alleged real estate scam involving approximately ₹4.61 crore. Dudhane, who recently tied the knot with social media influencer Harshala Patil on December 24, 2025, was preparing to travel abroad with his wife and family when he was detained due to a Lookout Circular (LOC) issued against him.
According to the Thane Police, the case stems from an FIR filed by a retired engineer. The complainant alleged that Jay Dudhane, along with four members of his family, defrauded him by facilitating the purchase of five commercial shops in the Pokhran Road area of Thane.
Key details of the police investigation include:
Senior Police Inspector Pravin Mane confirmed that a case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for cheating and forgery.
Despite the gravity of the charges, Jay Dudhane has maintained his innocence. Speaking to the media while being escorted by the police, the actor expressed shock and claimed he was unaware of any legal warrants or the LOC.
“I was about to go on my honeymoon. I didn’t even know that an arrest warrant or an LOC had been issued in my name,” Dudhane stated. “I am fully cooperating with the authorities. This case is completely false and many things have been misrepresented. I have complete faith in the justice system.”
Dudhane further challenged the accusers to provide proof, calling the allegation of selling one shop to multiple people “unbelievable” given that legal agreements had already been executed.
Jay Dudhane rose to prominence as a powerful contender in the reality TV circuit, known for his athleticism and outspoken personality. His sudden arrest, coming just ten days after his lavish wedding, has sent ripples through the Marathi entertainment industry.
The Thane Police are currently questioning other family members named in the FIR, including Dudhane’s mother, sister, and grandparents. Further investigation is underway to determine if there are more victims involved in the alleged scam.
