New Delhi, December 08, 2025: In a dramatic shift from the film sets to the fast-paced world of fashion, actress Rhea Chakraborty, along with her brother Showik, has achieved remarkable entrepreneurial success. Their streetwear brand, Chapter 2 Drip, has quickly cemented its place in the market, reaching an estimated valuation of ₹38-40 crore (approximately $4.5-$4.8 million) in less than a year since its launch.
This impressive achievement is not just a business success story, but a narrative of personal and professional reinvention following a period of intense public scrutiny for the Chakraborty siblings.
Launched online in August 2024, Chapter 2 Drip’s foundation lies in the concept of a ‘second chance’ and personal expression. For Rhea, the idea was sparked by a powerful message on a T-shirt she wore during a difficult time, which helped her find a voice when she felt silenced.
“We wanted something that gives people a voice,” Rhea has shared, explaining how they chose streetwear as the perfect medium to allow people to express their own journey of overcoming adversity.
The brand offers unisex apparel described as “elevated basics,” including their viral ‘indifferent’ white T-shirt and high-end denim. The collection blends global street style with a unique flair, targeting a young, community-focused demographic.
A major milestone for the startup came with a seed funding round from retail pioneers Kishore and Ashni Biyani, whose investment valued the company at around ₹40 crore as of May 2025. This significant endorsement arose organically from a conversation on Rhea’s own podcast, Chapter 2, where the Biyanis were guests.
Rhea emphasized that the funding was secured because the brand was already profitable and generating strong revenue. “I didn’t chase crazy valuations. I wanted their expertise,” she stated, highlighting a focus on strategic growth over merely inflated numbers.
The brand’s rapid success online led to a bold expansion into the physical retail space. In June 2025, less than a year after its online debut, Chapter 2 Drip opened its first flagship store on Mumbai’s bustling Bandra Linking Road. Despite initial hesitation from Rhea due to high overhead costs, her brother Showik convinced her that a community-driven brand needed a physical ‘headquarters’ for events and direct interaction with their customers.
While Rhea has hinted that her acting career is “over” for the moment, the future for Chapter 2 Drip is bright. The siblings are not resting on their Mumbai success, with plans to expand beyond major metros. Showik aims to open 12-15 more stores in the next six months, focusing on Tier-2 cities like Ludhiana, Raipur, and Jaipur—a strategy informed by Rhea’s experience growing up in smaller towns, where trends catch on quickly.
Rhea Chakraborty’s journey from a high-profile Bollywood actress to a successful entrepreneur serves as a powerful testament to finding a new purpose. She has transformed personal setbacks into a thriving business, crafting a genuine ‘Chapter 2’ that is resonating deeply with customers across India.
