A new book, titled “Modi’s Mission”, which chronicles the personal and political journey of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is set to be launched on October 24. The release event will be honored by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Governor Acharya Devvrat.
Authored by Berjis Desai, a renowned Mumbai-based lawyer and former journalist, the book, published by Rupa Publications, traces PM Modi’s life from his formative years in Gujarat’s Vadnagar right up to his tenure as the Prime Minister in New Delhi. The work is described as more than just a biography; it’s considered the “story of an idea,” exploring PM Modi’s emergence as an “instrument of national awakening” despite formidable challenges.
Desai delves into how the experiences of PM Modi’s childhood and youth have fundamentally shaped his socioeconomic philosophy and his approach to governance. The author aims to depict the Prime Minister’s efforts in raising India’s collective consciousness while simultaneously ensuring “transparent governance.“
“Modi’s Mission” provides readers with insights into the methodical approach adopted by PM Modi for undertaking momentous decisions, highlighting examples such as the abrogation of Article 370. The book also covers the Prime Minister’s extensive efforts to solidify India’s position globally as a proud civilisation and his drive to transform the nation into an efficient welfare state.
The author, Berjis Desai, brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as the Managing Partner of a leading Indian law firm and having written critically acclaimed books on Parsi culture. Industrialist Anand Mahindra has offered advance praise for the book, noting that it explores how PM Modi, “anchored by an unmistakable love for our country, has sought to lift its place in the world with relentless energy.” The launch of “Modi’s Mission” is anticipated to contribute significantly to the ongoing discourse surrounding the Prime Minister’s impact on India’s political and economic trajectory.
