Virat’s Look-alike Garvit Debuts in New Apollo Tyres Ad

0

New Delhi, February 4, 2026: In a move that has delighted cricket fans across the nation, Garvit, the young viral look-alike of Indian batting sensation Virat Kohli, has officially made his commercial debut. The youngster stars in the latest Apollo Tyres campaign titled “Har Safar Mein Dum Hai,” appearing alongside some of the biggest names in the sport.

The campaign, launched by Apollo Tyres as the lead sponsor of the Indian Cricket Team, is an emotional tribute to the grit and determination required to represent the country.

From Viral Sensation to the Small Screen

Garvit first caught the public’s eye in January 2026 when a video of him interacting with Virat Kohli went viral. During a training session leading up to the home ODI series against New Zealand, Kohli was seen laughing and acknowledging his “duplicate,” a moment that instantly made Garvit a social media celebrity known as “Chota Chiku.”

In the new Apollo Tyres ad, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Abhinay Deo, Garvit plays a pivotal role. He portrays a young aspiring cricketer—effectively a younger version of Kohli—riding a scooter with a character playing his father, carrying a cricket kit and a heart full of dreams.

A Star-Studded Tribute to Resilience

The film is set to the stirring notes of AR Rahman’s iconic anthem, “Maa Tujhe Salaam,” and features a legendary lineup, including:

  • Sachin Tendulkar (Brand Ambassador)
  • Virat Kohli
  • Rohit Sharma
  • KL Rahul
  • Shubman Gill
  • Arshdeep Singh

The narrative parallels the evolution of these cricketers from children with audacious dreams to elite athletes wearing the national jersey. Neeraj Kanwar, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Apollo Tyres Ltd, stated that the campaign reflects the brand’s core belief that excellence is built through “resilience, discipline, and consistency.”

Timing and Impact

The launch of this campaign is strategically timed with India’s upcoming assignment in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. With India set to face the USA in their opening match on February 7 in Mumbai, the ad has added a layer of emotional momentum for the fans.

“This film authentically captures the spirit of Indian cricket. It reflects the hard work, sacrifice, and endurance required to represent the country at the highest level,” said Devajit Saikia, Secretary of the BCCI.

For Garvit, the journey from a fan in the stands to a featured face in a national campaign marks a fairytale-like rise, proving that in the world of Indian cricket, every “Safar” (journey) indeed has “Dum” (strength).

Kotdwar Tensions: A Family in the Crosshairs of Harmony and Hate

0

New Delhi, February 4, 2026: What began as a defiant stand for communal harmony on a quiet street in Kotdwar has spiraled into a harrowing ordeal for 46-year-old gym owner Deepak Kumar. Known to many now by the moniker “Mohammad Deepak,” a name he used in a viral moment of solidarity, Kumar’s life has been upended. While he is hailed as a hero by some, his family is currently living in a state of self-imposed confinement, paralyzed by fear and financial instability.

A Stand for Humanity

The controversy erupted on January 26, 2026, when Kumar intervened to protect Vakeel Ahmed, a 70-year-old shopkeeper suffering from Parkinson’s disease. A group of right-wing activists had descended upon Ahmed’s shop, “Baba School Dress,” demanding he remove the word “Baba” from the signage, claiming it belonged exclusively to Hindu religious figures.

In a video that reached millions, Kumar confronted the group, famously stating, “Mera naam Mohammad Deepak hai” (My name is Mohammad Deepak), to emphasize that identity should not be a barrier to justice.

The Human Cost: Fear at Home

While the internet celebrates his courage, the reality inside Kumar’s home is grim. The spotlight has brought a wave of intimidation that has hit his most vulnerable family members the hardest.

  • Education Halted: Kumar’s young daughter, a student in lower kindergarten, has been forced to stop attending school. Concerns for her safety in the charged atmosphere have kept her indoors for over a week.
  • Livelihood Hit: Kumar’s gym, his primary source of income for two decades, has remained shuttered due to protests outside the premises and police restrictions. With a monthly rent of approximately ₹50,000, the financial strain is mounting rapidly.
  • Family Anxiety: His 70-year-old mother, who still runs a small tea stall to support the family, and his wife are reportedly living in a constant state of anxiety as protesters have gathered near their residence multiple times.

“I am not worried about myself, but about my family, who are struggling to deal with everything that is happening,” Kumar told reporters on Wednesday.

Legal and Political Crossfire

The situation has become a political flashpoint. While Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has hailed Kumar as a “lion-hearted warrior,” local authorities have registered three separate FIRs.

Party InvolvedLegal ActionNature of Complaint
Deepak KumarNamed in FIRAccused of rioting and criminal intimidation by a local resident.
Right-Wing ActivistsFIR against “Unknown”For road blockades, slogan-shouting, and disturbing harmony.
Shopkeeper (Ahmed)Filed ComplaintAlleged harassment and casteist slurs by the group.

Current Status

As of February 4, 2026, the Uttarakhand police have intensified patrols and restricted the entry of social media influencers into the town to prevent further escalation. Despite the FIRs and the closure of his business, Kumar remains resolute, stating that his actions were inspired by the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and the “true meaning of Sanatan Dharma.”

For the residents of Kotdwar, the shop name “Baba” remains unchanged by order of the administration, but the peace of the town—and the safety of one family—remains precariously balanced.

Solar Eclipse 2026: Date, Time, and India Visibility Guide

0

New Delhi, February 4, 2026: In 2026, the sky will host one of the most magnificent celestial displays: a Total Solar Eclipse. Often referred to as a “Surya Grahan” in India, this event occurs when the Moon passes directly between the Earth and the Sun, completely obscuring the solar disk and turning day into temporary darkness.

For skywatchers and astrology enthusiasts in India, here is a detailed guide on the date, timing, and whether this spectacular event will be visible from the Indian subcontinent.

Solar Eclipse 2026: Date and Global Overview

The primary solar eclipse of 2026 is scheduled for Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

This is not just any eclipse; it is a Total Solar Eclipse, the first of its kind to touch mainland Europe in over two decades. While the world will witness two solar eclipses in 2026 (an Annular Eclipse on February 17 and the Total Eclipse on August 12), the August event is the most anticipated due to its “Path of Totality,” which offers a complete blackout of the Sun.

Will it be Visible in India?

The short answer is no. Unfortunately, the Surya Grahan of August 12, 2026, will not be visible from any part of India.

The path of the Moon’s shadow will primarily cover the Arctic region, Greenland, Iceland, and Spain. Since the eclipse occurs during the late evening hours in the Western Hemisphere, it will be nighttime in India by the time the peak occurs, making it invisible to the naked eye across the country.

Visibility Highlights:

  • Path of Totality: Greenland, Iceland, Northern Spain, and a small portion of Portugal.
  • Partial Visibility: North America (Alaska, Canada), most of Europe, and North Africa.
  • India Status: Invisible. Because it is not visible in India, the religious and astrological Sutak Kaal (inauspicious period) is generally not observed by most practitioners in the country.

Solar Eclipse 2026: Timing (Indian Standard Time)

Although the eclipse won’t be visible in the Indian sky, many follow the timings for astrological reasons or to watch international livestreams. Here are the approximate timings converted to Indian Standard Time (IST) for August 12–13, 2026:

Phase of EclipseTime (IST)
Partial Eclipse Begins~9:04 PM (Aug 12)
Total Eclipse Begins~10:28 PM (Aug 12)
Maximum Eclipse (Peak)~11:16 PM (Aug 12)
Total Eclipse Ends~12:04 AM (Aug 13)
Partial Eclipse Ends~1:27 AM (Aug 13)

Why This Eclipse is Unique

The August 12 eclipse is being hailed as the “Great European Eclipse.” In Spain, the path of totality will pass through major cities like Valencia, Zaragoza, and Bilbao. It is also unique because:

  1. The Corona: Observers in the path of totality will be able to see the Sun’s “Corona”—its ethereal outer atmosphere—which is usually hidden by glare.
  2. Sunset Totality: In parts of Spain, the total eclipse will occur very close to sunset, creating a rare “Golden Hour” totality that is highly sought after by photographers.

How to Watch from India

Even though the sun will be below the horizon in India, you don’t have to miss out. Leading space agencies like NASA and organizations like TimeandDate will provide high-definition live streams from vantage points in Iceland and Spain.

Quick Tips for Virtual Viewing:

  • Official Streams: Check NASA’s YouTube channel or website.
  • Interactive Maps: Use digital tools to see exactly how the shadow moves across the globe in real-time.

Upcoming Eclipses in India

If you are waiting to see a solar eclipse from Indian soil, you will have to wait a bit longer. While 2026 offers two lunar eclipses visible in India (March 3 and August 28), the next major solar eclipse visible from India will occur on August 2, 2027, which will be visible as a partial eclipse in many Indian cities.

Two Peculiar Reasons Behind the India-US Trade Deal Timing

0

February 4, 2026 — In a move that has caught global markets by surprise, India and the United States have officially hit the “reset” button on their trade relations. Following a year of escalating tensions that saw tariffs on Indian exports skyrocket to 50%, President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a breakthrough agreement this week, slashing those duties down to 18%.

While the economic relief for Indian textile, pharmaceutical, and IT sectors is clear, geopolitical analysts are pointing to two “peculiar” reasons why this deal—long stuck in deadlock—suddenly crossed the finish line.

1. The “EU Catalyst”: Competitive Diplomacy

The first peculiar driver wasn’t actually in Washington or New Delhi, but in Brussels. Just last week, India finalized a landmark trade agreement with the European Union, effectively removing almost all trade restrictions.

This move created a “FOMO” (Fear Of Missing Out) effect in the White House. With American exporters facing high reciprocal tariffs while their European counterparts gained duty-free access to India’s massive consumer market, Washington could no longer afford to stay on the sidelines. The EU deal acted as a catalyst, forcing the U.S. to choose between maintaining its “Reciprocal Tariff” stance or losing significant market share to Europe.

2. The Legal “Clock” and Executive Risk

The second reason is rooted in the complex legal calendar of Washington. The Trump administration’s current tariff regime relies heavily on executive authority, which has faced mounting legal challenges. Analysts suggest that the timing of this “truce” is a form of risk management.

By locking in a deal now, the U.S. administration avoids the potential of the Supreme Court narrowing executive trade powers, while India secures a “most-favored” status that places its 18% tariff lower than Southeast Asian competitors like Vietnam (20%) and Malaysia (19%).

What’s on the Table?

The deal isn’t just about what India gains, but what it has reportedly conceded. While the Indian government remains tight-lipped on the specifics, the U.S. has made several high-stakes claims:

  • The Energy Pivot: India has reportedly agreed to halt purchases of Russian oil, shifting its procurement to U.S. and potentially Venezuelan crude.
  • The $500 Billion Pledge: President Trump claimed India will buy over $500 billion in American energy, technology, and agricultural products over the coming years.
  • Zero-Tariff Ambitions: The U.S. expects India to eventually reduce tariffs on American industrial goods to 0%, though New Delhi has emphasized that sensitive sectors like dairy and agriculture remain protected.

The Bottom Line

For the Indian exporter, the reduction from 50% to 18% is a lifeline. However, for the Indian diplomat, the deal represents a delicate balancing act between “Strategic Autonomy” and the pragmatic necessity of maintaining a primary partnership with the world’s largest economy.

“We are not celebrating a completed agreement, but the interruption of a worst-case path,” noted one trade economist.

Madhuri Dixit: The Ultimate Saree Icon at 58

0

New Delhi, February 4, 2026: In a world of fast-moving trends, Madhuri Dixit Nene remains the ultimate blueprint for timeless Indian beauty. On February 3, 2026, the “Dhak Dhak” girl once again stole the spotlight at the star-studded “Next on Netflix” event in Mumbai, proving that at 58, her grace only deepens with time.

Dressed in a vibrant orange floral-printed saree, the veteran actress served a masterclass in balancing traditional roots with a modern flair.

The Look: A Symphony in Orange

The centerpiece of Madhuri’s appearance was a stunning chiffon saree in a fiery shade of orange. Designed to be both vibrant and airy, the garment featured:

  • Intricate Detailing: A delicate golden gota patti embroidered border that added a touch of royalty to the soft drape.
  • Floral Charm: The saree was adorned with colorful floral patterns, making it a versatile choice for both high-profile galas and daytime festivities.
  • The Modern Twist: She paired the six-yard wonder with a contemporary, sleeveless orange blouse featuring a wide U-neckline and a fitted bodice, perfectly blending the old-world charm of the 90s with today’s chic silhouettes.

Traditional Jewels & Radiant Glam

No Madhuri look is complete without the perfect accessories. To complement the warmth of the orange, she opted for:

  • Classic Jewelry: Heavy gold jhumkis, a stack of elegant bangles, and a statement ring.
  • Glamorous Finish: Her makeup featured a luminous highlighter, a dark pink lip shade, and mascara-coated lashes.
  • The Tresses: Her hair was styled in her signature soft, blow-dried curls with a clean center parting, framing her face with an effortless glow.

A Big Year Ahead on Netflix

The event wasn’t just about fashion; it was a celebration of Madhuri’s continued dominance in the digital space. Netflix India unveiled its massive 2026 slate, and Madhuri is set to lead one of the most anticipated titles, “Maa Behen.”

Directed by Suresh Triveni (of Tumhari Sulu fame), the film features an exciting ensemble including Triptii Dimri and Ravi Kishan. The story is described as a heartwarming yet chaotic comedy-drama involving a mother-daughter trio who find themselves in a “dead body in the kitchen” situation—a quirky departure from Madhuri’s usual romantic roles.

Why This Look Matters

At 58, Madhuri’s choice of a bold, energetic color like orange sends a powerful message: elegance has no age. Whether she is walking the red carpet or portraying a fierce mother on screen, she remains the gold standard for poise in the Indian film industry.

Pawan Singh Sparks Buzz with “Dependable” Marriage Proposal During Live Show

0

New Delhi, February 4, 2026: Bhojpuri “Power Star” Pawan Singh is back in the headlines, and this time it isn’t just for his chart-busting music. During a recent live performance, the singer-actor sent social media into a frenzy after making a candid and witty marriage proposal to a co-star on stage.

The moment, which has since gone viral, captures Singh engaging in a playful banter with an actress (reported by some sources as an anchor or co-performer during the event). When the actress lightheartedly mentioned she was looking for a husband who is “handsome, cultured, and dependable,” Pawan Singh didn’t miss a beat.

“I May Be Dark, But I Am Dependable”

Stepping into the spotlight, Singh responded with a self-deprecating yet confident pitch that left the audience roaring.

“I may be dark-skinned (saawla/kala), but I am a dependable and cultured man,” he quipped. “What more are you looking for? The candidate is standing right in front of you!”

He further joked about the “guarantee vs. warranty” of modern relationships, suggesting that while he might not fit the conventional “chocolate boy” mold, he is a “long-race horse” when it comes to commitment.

Sparks Fly Amid Third Wedding Rumors

While the exchange was clearly lighthearted and intended for entertainment, it has reignited intense speculation regarding Singh’s personal life. The Bhojpuri superstar has had a turbulent marital history:

  • First Marriage: He was married to Neelam Singh in 2014, who tragically passed away in 2015.
  • Second Marriage: He married Jyoti Singh in 2018. However, the couple has been embroiled in a public legal battle, with divorce proceedings and allegations of domestic discord making headlines for the past few years.

Coming on the heels of his 40th birthday celebrations in January 2026—where he was spotted closely with actress Mahima Singh—fans are wondering if these “jokes” carry a hint of truth. Rumors of a third wedding have been circulating for weeks, though the actor previously dismissed them in interviews, claiming that even “wedding cards” were being fabricated by the rumor mill.

Public Reaction

The viral clip has divided fans. While many praise his sense of humor and stage presence, others have pointed out the ongoing sensitivity of his current legal separation from Jyoti Singh. His wife recently shared an emotional post on social media, noting that “whether it’s marriage or divorce, it’s usually the woman who loses her home,” adding a layer of gravity to the actor’s public antics.

Whether this was a scripted bit for the live audience or a genuine glimpse into his mindset, Pawan Singh continues to prove why he is the most talked-about figure in the Bhojpuri industry.

Scientific Perspectives Amidst Social Media Hype

A massive conversation regarding the intersection of science and spirituality has been ignited by this interaction. While many netizens are convinced of the miracle, it is frequently mentioned by botanists and agricultural experts that such phenomena can often be explained by natural processes. It is noted that certain physiological changes within the tree, or the presence of specific insects that produce “honeydew” secretions, are being cited as possible biological reasons for the sweetness. Thousands of comments have been left by users who are divided, stating that while science may have its theories, the faith of the villagers remains unshaken.

Impact on Local Tourism and Community Faith

The impact of the viral news has extended beyond the local village to influence a broader discussion on community beliefs and environmental wonders. It is believed that the “Sweet Neem Tree” story will remain a primary highlight of the month’s most discussed regional and spiritual features. The legacy of this viral event is expected to be a heightened public awareness of the various ways in which rural communities find meaning in the world around them. Until a definitive scientific analysis is concluded, this tree remains a stark testament to the fact that sometimes, the line between the natural and the supernatural is defined solely by the observer.

Ravi Kishan: The Cult Icon Reviving Bhojpuri Roots and Ruling the Big Screen

0

February 4, 2026 – From the dusty lanes of rural drama to the sophisticated sets of cult comedy, Ravi Kishan is currently enjoying what he calls a “rewarding second inning” in his 34-year-long career. The actor-politician is making headlines not just for his upcoming role in the film adaptation of the beloved sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! Fun on the Run, but for his relentless crusade to clean up and revive Bhojpuri cinema.

A New Flavor in Modern Comedy

In an exclusive conversation, Ravi Kishan opened up about joining the cast of the Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! movie, slated for release on February 6, 2026. Stepping into the shoes of Shanti, a “one-sided, innocent lover,” Kishan draws inspiration from the real-life characters he encounters in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

“I meet such people every day,” Kishan shared. “The kind who spend their whole lives watching their love from a distance at a paan shop. There is a deep, tragic beauty in that innocence, and I wanted to bring that to the screen with a poker face.”

The film, which features the original TV cast alongside newcomers like Mukesh Tiwari, was reportedly shot in a record 20 days across Mussoorie and Dehradun. Despite the quick turnaround, Kishan is confident the sharp comedic timing and “beautiful message” will resonate with fans of the decade-old franchise.

The Mission: Reviving Bhojpuri Cinema

Beyond the laughs, Kishan remains a fierce protector of his roots. He has recently been vocal about the “decline” of Bhojpuri cinema, blaming a wave of vulgarity for tarnishing a language spoken by over 250 million people.

  • Policy Power: As a Member of Parliament, he has introduced a Private Member’s Bill seeking a pension scheme, land, and housing for character actors in the industry who often struggle financially in their later years.
  • The “Clean” Movement: Kishan is pushing for a separate Censor Board in Uttar Pradesh to ensure Bhojpuri films maintain a standard of quality that families can enjoy together.
  • Infrastructure: He continues to advocate for the development of a Film City in Gorakhpur to provide local talent with the resources they once had to travel to Mumbai to find.

A Career “Rising Sun”

Reflecting on his recent successes in Laapataa Ladies (India’s 2023 Oscar entry) and the hit series Maamla Legal Hai, Kishan admits he almost gave up after Tere Naam due to a lack of meaningful roles in Bollywood.

“People thought I was finished—that I was just a ‘Bhojpuri image’ or a politician now,” he remarked. “But the success of small-budget, story-driven films proves that content is king. My journey is a testament to patience for every struggler out there.”

Delta Force: Season Morphosis Is Live – New Operator, Destructible Chaos, and More

0

The tactical shooter world is buzzing as Delta Force officially launches its latest major update: Season Morphosis. Following its massive success on Steam, Team Jade is turning up the heat with a suite of new content that fundamentally changes how players approach the battlefield. From a support specialist who controls the “swarm” to a map that literally crumbles around you, Morphosis is a transformative leap for the franchise.

The New Support Star: Vlinder

The face of Season Morphosis is the new Support Operator, Lina Van der Meer, codenamed Vlinder. Inspired by the theme of rebirth, Vlinder is a game-changer for squad survivability.

  • Flutter Rescue UAVs: She can deploy drones that automatically seek out downed allies within a 55-meter radius, injecting them with plasma for a quick revival.
  • Medical Drones: Her drones don’t just save lives; they sustain them by following teammates and emitting “medical dust” for area-of-effect healing.
  • Tactical Smokes: Her unique smoke grenades can be steered mid-flight, allowing for precise cover during frantic exfils.
  • Free Unlock: Best of all, Vlinder is available for free through the Season Morphosis Battle Pass (unlocked at Level 15).

Aftershock: Total Urban Destruction

The most ambitious addition to the Warfare mode is the new map, Aftershock. Set in a crumbling city, this map introduces a level of environmental destruction rarely seen in modern shooters.

“Team Jade has delivered a battlefield where nearly 95% of the buildings are destructible.”

Players can trigger seismic events, collapse entire structures to crush enemies, and turn once-solid cover into rubble. The map forces a shift in strategy; a sniper’s nest that was safe five minutes ago might be a pile of dust by the end of the match.

Innovative Modes & Operations Revamp

Morphosis doesn’t stop at new maps. It introduces Fiery Owl Hunt, a unique twist on the extraction formula where players can actually step into the shoes of the boss, Saeed. As Saeed, the map’s AI guards become your allies, giving you a terrifying advantage over other squads.

Other major updates include:

  • Space City 2.0: An overhaul of the classic Operations map featuring new underwater mechanics (complete with dangerous sharks!) and a new boss encounter with Alonso Hudson.
  • Flashpoint Mode: A fast-paced “mini-mode” in Warfare where the entire lobby battles over a single, shifting objective.
  • New Arsenal: The MCX LT Assault Rifle and the brutal FS-12 Pump-Action Shotgun make their debut, alongside the “Executioner” melee blade.

Major Quality of Life Updates

Listening to the community, the developers have implemented several highly requested features. Players can now enjoy solo-queue matchmaking for Layali Grove, a “Normal” difficulty setting for the Tide Prison raid, and a new in-game vehicle customization system to trick out tanks and helicopters.

Season Morphosis is a bold statement from Team Jade, proving that Delta Force is ready to compete with the heavyweights of the tactical FPS genre.
