New Delhi, December 18, 2025: Announced ahead of CES 2026, this system marks a departure from traditional home theaters, which often require rigid speaker placement and a spiderweb of cables. With FlexConnect, LG and Dolby are promising a “place-anywhere” audio experience that adapts to your room, rather than making you adapt your room to the technology.

What is Dolby Atmos FlexConnect?

Traditionally, achieving a true Dolby Atmos experience meant placing speakers at very specific angles and heights to ensure the “spatial” effect worked correctly. Dolby Atmos FlexConnect solves this by allowing users to place wireless speakers anywhere in a room—even in unconventional spots like a bookshelf in a corner or a side table.

The system uses a quick calibration process to “map” the room. It identifies where each speaker is located and then intelligently adjusts the audio output to ensure the listener remains at the center of a balanced, immersive soundstage.

Meet the LG H7: A Modular Powerhouse

At the heart of this new lineup is the LG H7 soundbar, a high-performance unit designed to act as the “lead device” for the entire ecosystem.

  • Wireless Versatility: The H7 can connect wirelessly to up to four additional speakers and a subwoofer.
  • Massive Scale: In its most advanced setup, the system can reach a staggering 13.1.7 channel configuration.
  • The Components: Users can mix and match the H7 with the M7 and M5 wireless speakers and the W7 subwoofer (which boasts deep bass down to 25.9Hz).
  • Broad Compatibility: Unlike previous wireless solutions that only worked with specific brand ecosystems, the H7 soundbar can bring FlexConnect capabilities to any TV via a standard HDMI connection.

AI-Driven Precision

LG isn’t just relying on Dolby’s tech; they’ve packed the H7 with their most advanced hardware. The system is powered by the α (Alpha) 11 AI Processor Gen 3, the same brain found in LG’s flagship OLED TVs.

One standout feature is Sound Follow, which uses Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology. This allows the system to detect exactly where you are sitting in the room and “steer” the sweet spot of the audio toward you in real-time. Additionally, Room Calibration Pro uses AI to analyze the acoustic properties of your furniture and walls to prevent echoes or muffled sound.

Future-Proofing Your Living Room

For those who recently upgraded their TVs, there is good news. While the full Sound Suite will debut in 2026, LG has confirmed that select 2025 premium TV models (including the C-series and G-series OLEDs) will receive a software update to support Dolby Atmos FlexConnect.

The LG Sound Suite represents a “modular” future. You can start with just the H7 soundbar and gradually add wireless speakers over time, with the system automatically re-calibrating itself every time a new component is added.
