New Delhi, March 28, 2026: A volatile confrontation has been captured on camera at a multiplex, involving a frustrated family and cinema staff during the screening of the high-octane sequel, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge. The video, which has rapidly climbed the viral charts, depicts a heated argument that escalated into a physical scuffle. The conflict reportedly began when a family, including a young child, was denied entry into the auditorium by security personnel and theater management, leading to a breakdown of order in the lobby.

The primary cause of the dispute was the film’s “A” (Adults Only) certification, which strictly prohibits the admission of minors, regardless of parental supervision. It is observed in the footage that the parents were visibly enraged by the refusal, arguing that they had already purchased tickets and traveled a long distance to watch the Ranveer Singh-starrer. The passive attempts by the staff to explain the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) guidelines were met with loud protests and eventually, an unfortunate exchange of blows.

The Strict Enforcement of “A” Certification

The “A” rating for Dhurandhar 2 has been a point of contention for many family audiences, as the film contains intense violence and gritty espionage themes. It is clarified by theater representatives that cinema halls are legally bound to follow age-restriction laws, and failure to do so could result in the cancellation of their operating licenses. In the viral video, the staff can be seen pointing to the “A” certificate displayed at the entrance, a gesture that further agitated the family members who felt they were being unfairly targeted.

The resulting melee saw theater employees being pushed and shoved as they tried to maintain a barrier between the family and the entrance. Onlookers were seen recording the incident on their phones, while some tried to intervene to de-escalate the violence. The theater management eventually had to call for local police assistance to handle the situation, as the verbal abuse directed at the staff showed no signs of stopping.

Public Debate on Parental Responsibility and Cinema Rules

The internet is currently divided over the incident, with a significant number of netizens siding with the theater staff. It is argued in many viral threads that parents must be aware of movie ratings before booking tickets, especially for films known for their mature content. The “A” rating is designed to protect children from seeing graphic images, and the staff is being praised by some for standing their ground despite the physical intimidation.

Conversely, some users have criticized the booking platforms for not providing more prominent warnings about age restrictions at the time of purchase. However, the use of physical force against service staff has been roundly condemned by the majority of the digital community. As Dhurandhar 2 continues to break box office records across India, this incident serves as a stark reminder for moviegoers to check certifications to avoid such “unfortunate” scenes at the cinema hall.
