Sorab, who shared screen space as the male lead opposite Sanchita in Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi (playing Kartik to her character Sukoon), was visibly distraught when swarmed by the paparazzi. In a hurried interaction, he revealed that he had spoken to her just two days prior to the tragedy. He described her as being under severe stress, using the words, “Pareshan thi woh bechari” (The poor girl was troubled).
